Red Wednesday – St. George’s Church, Wednesday 19 NovemberRed Wednesday is an annual day in November when people around the world draw attention to the importance of religious freedom and speak out against the persecution of believers of all faiths. The day is an initiative of Aid to the Church in Need. On this day, many buildings, churches, government offices, bridges, and monuments, are illuminated in red. The color red symbolizes the blood of martyrs and serves as a reminder of those who suffer or even die because of their faith.Your prayer and efforts to raise awareness of their situation mean a great deal to those who are discriminated against and persecuted. &nbsp;<ul><li>7:00 PM – Eucharistic Celebration, St. George’s Church</li><li>After the Eucharist, a couple from Syria will share their story about the persecution of Christians.</li></ul>

Red Wednesday St. Joriskerk Woensdag 19 november Red Wednesday is een jaarlijkse dag in november waarop wereldwijd aandacht wordt gevraagd voor godsdienstvrijheid en tegen de vervolging van gelovigen, ongeacht hun geloof. De dag is een initiatief van Kerk in Nood (Aid to the Church in Need).&nbsp; Op veel plekken, kerken, overheidsgebouwen, bruggen of monumenten, worden gebouwen die dag rood verlicht.&nbsp; De kleur rood staat symbool voor het bloed van martelaren en herinnert aan mensen die lijden of zelfs sterven vanwege hun geloof. &nbsp;Uw gebed en hulp in het creëren van bewustzijn over hun lot, betekenen veel voor wie gediscrimineerd en vervolgd worden.<ul><li>19:00 uur Eucharistieviering St. Joriskerk</li><li>Na de Eucharistieviering komt een echtpaar uit Syrië iets vertellen over de christenvervolging.&nbsp;</li></ul>
