Red Wednesday 2025
Global focus on religious freedom and against persecution, regardless of faith.
Red Wednesday – St. George’s Church, Wednesday 19 November
Red Wednesday is an annual day in November when people around the world draw attention to the importance of religious freedom and speak out against the persecution of believers of all faiths.
The day is an initiative of Aid to the Church in Need.
On this day, many buildings, churches, government offices, bridges, and monuments, are illuminated in red.
The color red symbolizes the blood of martyrs and serves as a reminder of those who suffer or even die because of their faith.
Your prayer and efforts to raise awareness of their situation mean a great deal to those who are discriminated against and persecuted.
- 7:00 PM – Eucharistic Celebration, St. George’s Church
- After the Eucharist, a couple from Syria will share their story about the persecution of Christians.
